Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) continues to work cooperatively with our sector stakeholders to minimize potential market access issues. OGVG works closely with the Ontario Greenhouse Marketers’ Association (OGMA) to identify issues that may impact the sale of Ontario greenhouse vegetables.
OGVG also participates on the Executive of the North American Tomato Trade Working Group (NATTWG). NATTWG is an alliance of North American producers (Canada, Mexico and the United States) who focus on market access issues.
NATTWG is evolutionary and the policy makers agree that the NATTWG model is an extremely positive example that should be followed by more commodity organizations within North America. The globalization and integration of food production and distribution demands it.
