"Little Time, Lots of Stress" Dinner
Everyone has "one of those days." This recipe will provide a healthy meal for your family without causing you a meltdown.
1 lb ground beef (or any ground meat you have)
2 Ontario Greenhouse tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 Ontario Greenhouse sweet pepper, seeded and chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 box macaroni & cheese dinner
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Prepare the mac and cheese per directions. As you are doing this, brown the meat in a large skillet. Drain any fat from the meat. Add the veggies and spices and cook for 3-4 minutes until veggies are softened. Add the mac and cheese to the skillet and stir together. Done!
One of the best things about this recipe is that you can use any veggies, meats, spices you have on hand – even better, use up those leftovers in the fridge.
